The Nova Scotia International Tattoo Foundation through the Youth Pipes & Drums Program supports the development of Highland bagpiping and pipe band drumming in Nova Scotia by providing cash grants and instrument loans and donations to youth oriented non-profit organizations.

Our investments will assist these organizations with costs associated with membership, tuition, travel to major competitions, uniforms and equipment, and professional development.

The program aims to advance education and encourage youth in Nova Scotia to participate in the Highland bagpipe and pipe band drumming arts. Youth who participate in music programs develop skills that help them in life, learning and work.

Additionally, this program will foster development and growth of Highland bagpiping and pipe band drumming in Nova Scotia, cultivate artistic excellence locally, nationally and internationally, and increase participation of Nova Scotian pipers and drummers in the annual production of the Tattoo.

Your gift—in any amount—makes a real difference.

“I had never been to a Tattoo before, I only went to this one because by chance I was in Halifax for a few days. I had high hopes but they were by a long way exceeded. It was an amazing show of great variety, a rare event where you just don’t want the evening to end. Well done and thank you to all involved.” – Barbara
