THE ROYAL BAND OF THE BELGIAN AIR FORCE — BELGIUM

The Royal Band of The Belgian Air Force is a symphonic wind orchestra featuring 60 rigorously selected professional musicians who perform around the world as an elite military band.

Founded in 1946, the Band provides musical accompaniment and support for military ceremonies and international state visits, and showcases the strength of the Belgian military.

Their repertoire ranges from romantic, light classical and modern music genres like pop and funk, and they can perform in flexible arrangements including big band, symphonic wind—from Glenn Miller to Richard Strauss. The combination of tradition, top artistic standards, entertainment, and humor ensures that the performances and various activities are appreciated and respected worldwide.

The Royal Band of the Belgian Air Force has performed all over the world at tattoos and music festivals, and they’re here this summer to wow audiences!

“The Tattoo has to be the one Canadian/Nova Scotia show to check off a bucket list. We liked it so much, that we’ve now made it an annual event for our family. As each year has a different theme, you never know what to expect. But one thing that never changes is the marching of the mass band. It’s just AWESOME!”
