The Composite Band of the 5th Canadian Division is part of the Full Time Summer Employment Program of the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserve. Since its inception in 2022, the Band has employed musicians from both 36 and 37 Canadian Brigade Groups of the Atlantic provinces. The 5th Canadian Division Composite Band has supported many local events including the visit of Her Royal Highness Princess Anne in 2023 as well as ceremonies for the Commemoration of the No. 2 Construction Battalion in Pictou, Nova Scotia. The band continues to support Regular Force and Reserve Force units in the Atlantic region as well as community events throughout the Maritimes.
