At its core, the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo is all about celebrating the Canadian Armed Forces and other first responders who serve their country in uniform. Over the past 45 years, we have shared the stories of important battles and heroic people who serve and sacrifice. This year, we want to take it to another level.

Introducing the Tribute to Veterans

During the show, we plan to honour all veterans, active servicemembers, and all first responders. If you or a loved one have ever worn a uniform or served your country in any capacity, we want you to submit a photograph that we can use in our Tribute to Veterans scene.

Step-by-Step Submission Guide:

1. Select a photo: Please ensure that it is a high-resolution photo of the person in their uniform (preferred but not required).

2. Include detailed information: We’ll need the person’s name and rank, branch of service (Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, Fire, etc.), unit or regiment, years of service and all details on the conflicts, missions, or duties they provided.

3. Fill out the application form below: double check that all of the information you’ve entered is correct and that your photo is either jpg or png format. Please ensure that you have the permission of the person whose photo you’re submitting, or the permission of the family.

We look forward to your contributions and to honouring the valiant men and women who have served their country in uniform. This special tribute will not only recognize the sacrifice and bravery of those who serve, but will also educate and inspire all who attend the Tattoo. Thank you for helping us celebrate these heroes. Thank you for your service.
